Reflection:
The hardest part of this assignment is to understand the meaning of this work. Thing I did well on this assignment is that I understand the meaning. If I had to do this assignment again, I will write a better conclusion. What I learned from this assignment is that I knew how to write an art essay.

The canvas work we are doing in this semester is called “Composition assemblage-photogram” from László Moholy-Nagy. This work is about geometric, which includes solid and architectural; reflection, which mainly of light reflection; color, which should constructed nature; illusion, which mainly of frame into the frame; different view points and the relationship between 2D-paint and 3D-space. The materials I used are silver paper, rope, photographs of light, acrylic and glow sticks, they are all on my canvas. There are three major points I think is interesting of my work, which are light, color and multi-view points.
First, light. I thought about light right after I finished my draft. Where should be dark and where should be bright is very important in this work. Although those photographs of light rays are 2D, but I must make them look like 3D. The big yellow light on my work is the major part of light because it is in the middle of the canvas. Light rays on the left and at the top are formed like puzzles. Of course, there are other things which formed lights except photographs. 3D object can also formed lights and reflect them. Tinfoil I used in my work is corrugated, so it can reflect more lights because of its texture. Glow sticks can also reflect lights because they are translucent, then lights can go throw them. Because of lights, the canvas can has dark part and bright part, which make the whole work more 3D.
Second, color. The main color of my work is yellow. Because the major light is yellow, so I paint yellow and use yellow glow sticks. The yellow painting is yellow and white gradation. The choose of color is following the photograph. Glow sticks are bright yellow, so when people look at my work, they can focus on this 3D part. This part is the canvas’s frame, the whole work’s main point. The three yellow parts of my work are echoed. There is another painting on my work which is black and white gradation. This part echoed white light rays of my work.
Third, multi-viewpoints. There are three rays of lights in this work, one is from the bottom, one is from the top and the other one is from the right corner. Those three rays of lights are multi-viewpoints. When people look at my work, they can have different perspective. Those three yellow parts are also multi-viewpoints. People can have their own perspective to look at these echoed parts. In my work, there are big part and small part, simple par and complicated part, and they are multiple-viewpoints too.
In conclusion, my work is based on simplicity because there are just several elements in my work. My work is mainly about Light reflection, used of color and multi-viewpoints.
